Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Tugethr has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any content, message or behaviour that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a child is removed, the account is banned for good, and we report it to the authorities.
1. Tugethr is for adults only
Tugethr is an app for adults aged 18 and over to find people to play sport with. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not offer a version of the app for children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we pause it until the person proves their age, and close it if they cannot.
2. What is not allowed
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawings, edited images and AI-generated images.
- Sexual messages, images or requests sent to, or about, anyone under 18.
- Grooming: building trust with a child, or with a parent or carer, in order to abuse or exploit the child.
- Sextortion: threatening to share intimate images of a child, or asking a child for them.
- Offering, asking for, or arranging to meet a child for sexual purposes, or trafficking a child.
- Sharing links to, or asking where to find, any of the above.
None of this is allowed in profiles, photos, chats, group chats, match listings or anywhere else on Tugethr.
3. How to report it
- In the app: open the person's profile or the chat, tap Report, then choose Child safety. Your phone sends us the reported messages and the recent messages and media from that chat so we can review them. Do not forward or screenshot the material yourself. Reporting it in the app is enough.
- By email: write to safety@tugethr.com. Tell us the person's name or username and when it happened. Please do not attach the images.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 112 first. You can also call Childline India on 1098, or report directly to the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in or by calling 1930.
You do not need an account to email us. Reports are read by people, not only by software, and child safety reports go to the top of the queue.
4. What we do
- We act at once. When a child safety report is filed, the reported account is paused straight away and the reported media is hidden from everyone while we review it.
- We remove it. Confirmed material is taken down and cannot be seen by anyone on Tugethr.
- We preserve the evidence. We keep the reported messages, media and account details securely, with access limited to our safety team and every view recorded, so that the police can use them.
- We ban the account. The account is closed permanently, and the phone number, email and device are blocked from signing up again.
- We report it. We report confirmed child sexual abuse material and exploitation to Indian authorities through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and to the police, as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 require. We cooperate with law enforcement on any request made under law.
5. How we prevent it
- Every account must confirm a date of birth showing the person is 18 or older.
- Anyone can report an account they think belongs to someone under 18. We pause it until age is verified.
- People who send nudity to others who did not ask for it have their messaging paused or their account removed.
- Our safety team reviews reports every day, and child safety reports first.
6. Our child safety contact
